Today was our last official play day in Alaska since first thing in the morning we have to return the motorhome and go to the airport to fly out at 10:10am. We left Cooper Landing bright and early and headed to Seward, which is on the opposite side of the peninsula from Kenai and Homer. Seward is a beautiful little fishing town on resurrection bay where a the ididarod race starts!
So sad to say goodbye to day 6 this trip has been soooo awesome!!!!!
These signs are all over town....yikes!
Next we headed to Exit Glacier at the Kenai Fjords National Park
Glacier from the road...
Inside the park we got the kids the junior ranger workbook again so they could earn another badge...
In this picture Grace is lifting a piece of "glacier" that is on display
Short hike to the glacier
So sad, glacier is receeding A LOT!
(See sign below in pic)
Grace being "sworn in" as a junior ranger and getting her badge...
Our last meal in the rv (mostly because we were out of anything but snacks), breakfast for lunch!
Our rv for next year...in Chuck and Gage's dreams!
Headed back to town one last time
And as much as we weren't ready to go, it was time to start heading back to Anchorage where we will stay tonight in order to be packed and ready and to go to airport on time.
On the way back we saw these mountain goats on the mountain right next to the Alaska highway!
Everyone on the road slowed down to look, even the Alaska railroad
Finally we made it to Anchorage and had to find one last place to park the rv and sleep for the night which was a little more difficult than we had planned. Driving in Alaska is easy, but driving in anchorage is complicated! It's full of one way streets and they call their main street a highway because it leads to the highway! We decided to park and spend the night in the rv rental parking lot haha.

Yay finally some pictures of the whole fam! Love you!
