Then we stopped by this little view spot called Glacier Park, privately owned and the one and only way to get up close and personal with the glacier. The road into the park was a little sketchy; bumpy and narrow with a wood bridge crossing over water rapids (pic to follow tomorrow!) that didn't look like it could hold our big rig but we chanced it anyway! Once in the park we asked about seeing the glacier up close and camping. Their response was very Alaskan in nature..."drive in, pick any spot you want and heck ya of course you can have a fire wherever you want and even gather your own wood from wherever you can find it!"
So here we are for the night sleeping right next to a glacier! Pic from our camp spot:






Oh my gosh...I am just LOVING these pictures and stories!!! What a PERFECT adventuresome way to enjoy Alaska...sorry the groceries were $$$ :)
